Well, Bill had his second cataract surgery early this morning. It was quite successful, and after a brief time of enduring a little scratchiness, his vision will be close to 20/20 – after wearing glasses since he was three years old! It’s been fascinating to listen as he describes the experience.

You understand, cataracts develop over years until eventually one’s vision is clouded, even somewhat blurry. But because it happens so gradually, one hardly notices. In Bill’s case, he did become aware that reading had become more difficult and signs a bit harder to see from a distance. But he couldn’t have told you why or what he was missing.
